It has been found that some insurance companies will not insure Ticknall residents because they consider that Ticknall is a flood risk area.
The reason for this is that they use the post code DE73 not the full post code which would be Ticknall. The DE73 code includes areas such as Barrow and Swarkestone that are a flood risk.
We are waiting for more information which will be discussed at the next meeting and an article will be put into the Parish Council November newsletter.
