About Ticknall Life

altTicknall Life - the community magazine for Ticknall. The Ticknall Village community pages first saw the light of day in 2000 as a few pages of information at limeyard.co.uk and took its own domain ticknall.org.uk in March of 2001. Although it has seen many changes of design since then, it has always been centred around the established community groups in the village.

The availability of better technology has enabled direct access for participants and created the opportunity for more sections of the community to become involved.

If you are a leader or a member of a local organisation that has not previously been represented on the Ticknall website, then this is your opportunity to take advantage of the new easier access afforded by the Ticknall Life on-line magazine.

  • If you are a member of a local group, send us information about your activities so that we can make it available to the local community.
  • Better still, create an account for yourself and submit your article directly to the site.
  • Even better still, become a regular contributing author or an editor. It's great fun, and very rewarding.

Your website is brilliant. We run a small local website in the Midlands of South Africa (about 6 months old) and have just found yours - wow, really outstanding.

I feel some kinship with you as I went to school in a village just up the road from Ticknall. A dour boarding school with a very fine hockey team 1957 to 1962, it was dour then but seems to have blossomed somewhat.

Thank you so much for this site, outstanding design and very easy to follow, plus a huge body of info.
