The recent Craft Fair held in the Village Hall was a resounding success, raising £300 for the mee&dee charity. Maria would like to thank all who helped on the day, by helping set up, make cakes and lend a hand in the kitchen, the stall holders and all those who came along and supported the 'me&dee' charity at the Craft Fair. £300 was raised, and after expenses means that another treat can be given by 'me&dee' - Maria is currently arranging her 13th treat this year - and £100 given to Darren Greenfield.
Darren had his leg amputated following an accident and is in training for the 2012 Olympics - wheelchair basketball - and needs as much help and support as possible. Maria has adopted him into the charity for the next 3 years and has badges, pens & teeshirts and would love to hear from you if you can sell/buy any of these, or would like to become involved in fundraising for Darren.
